Idlenight: Things to Come

Post by Pride on Sun Apr 21, 2013 12:13 am

Idlenight is a fledgling group in a sense. Conceptually, and in non-functional practice, it has existed for a while, however, we only just recently became what I would say is a 'functional' stage, in which the overall production level of the group is worth the number of members, or more within the group.

So, to give you an idea of what we're planning to bring to the table:

Idlenight is moving to Newgrounds, we currently do not have a valid programmer, so our members are likely going to be learning how to use software such as Rpg Maker VX Ace, Game Maker professional, Stencyl, Construct 2, and others like them. We will use these to create HTML and .Exe games to deliver, embed, and provide entertainment with, and we will amass a following on Newgrounds and Kongregate via the creation of Flash games from these programs.

Despite the fact that we lack a functional programmer, I am currently learning AS3, albeit very slowly. This will allow us to expand from our current restrictions and move on to the things we want to do.

Also, Idlenight plans to offer Tutorials, from Setting up a Minecraft Server to designing games in Stencyl or AS3, to creating paper craft. These tutorials will be professional, clear, concise, and straight to the point, like a tutorial should be.

Idlenight will also, in the future, offer Gaming News, and have a heavy interaction in Games, we will likely start off with a private and a public "Idlenight Server", and move on from there. We may also even have meetings and discussions within game servers. However, we do not know how far in the future this'll be. In short, Idlenight might have create a Clan.

Separate members are each doing their own thing, one of us is designing a synthesizer software, another is creating fonts, another is planning comics. We're all expanding along with the group.

In short, we're on "go". I hope our future work is enjoyable for you all!
